Animation of changing incoming wavefront
The animation shows a scattering state that follows a
classical straight-line trajectory through a rectangular cavity with changing
angle of incidence. The procedure outlined in our article allows the
construction of such a state by appropriately changing the incoming
wavefront. The last two frames show the transition from
such a beamlike state (as in geometric optics) to a
diffracted wave (as in wave optics).
