TU-D projects
TU-D combines synthesis, characterization, application and simulation of 2D materials and systems. All ten faculty members contribute their experience on various aspects of 2D material research, with particular focus on:
- Synthesis: D. Eder, F. Aumayr
- Characterization: U. Diebold, G. Parkinson
- Simulation: W. Auzinger, P. Blaha, C. Hellmich, F. Libisch
- Application: H. Mikula, T. Müller
Please find a short description of all ten working groups, and their envisioned projects, in the menu to the left.
Co-Supervision
We implement team supervision — each PhD student is supervised by two faculty members with complimentary expertise — supported by a thesis advisory committee covering all four fields of expertise (synthesis, characterization, application, simulation). Each working group outlines two PhD projects, each including a co-supervisor.
